Global Warming Videos

I came across a great video recently. I think it is a must-watch for all of those interested in fighting global warming or those simply interested to know how all of the “stuff” in our daily lives comes to be and what kind of impact its creation and disposal has on the planet.

The video is called “The Story of Stuff”. I think it is so well done and fascinating, I have already watched it twice. Once you view it, let me know what you think!

I titled this post Food Inc for two reasons:

  1. It is the title of the documentary film that was a major factor in prompting us to expand our green living efforts.
  2. It is really an accurate description of the current state of food production in the United States

Before the Industrial Revolution, and even for a while afterward, most food was grown on family farms in an organic manner and was consumed relatively local to where it was grown. Now, however, most food is grown by huge food corporations, is awash in pesticides, herbicides and other chemicals and is transported all over the globe to be consumed. Read more on Food Inc…
